General provisions
This Policy explains how the Hostung hosting service collects, uses, stores and protects personal data belonging to website visitors, account holders and customers of VPS, dedicated server and domain services.
The Hostung service administration operates the website and services. The official contact for personal-data questions and formal notices is hostung@hostung.net; operational support is available via Telegram @HostungSupport.
This Policy applies to the main Hostung website and the customer account. Third-party websites and services follow their own privacy rules.
Data we process
- Account data: name or alias, email address, Telegram identifier and other information voluntarily provided in the customer account.
- Order and payment data: selected services, invoices, currency, payment status and identifiers. Hostung does not store full card details when payment is handled by an external provider.
- Service data: domain names, server IP addresses, selected configurations, operating systems and service-management actions.
- Support correspondence: requests, attachments and information required to resolve an issue or review a complaint.
- Website preferences: the selected language is stored locally in the user's browser.
- Hostung does not keep logs of user-traffic content or activity inside a VPS. This does not include the minimum technical, account, payment and security data listed in this Policy.
Purposes and legal grounds
We process data only to the extent required for the following purposes:
- entering into and performing a contract: account creation, ordering, activation, renewal and service management;
- meeting legal obligations: accounting, responding to lawful requests and complying with mandatory requirements;
- Hostung's legitimate interests: protecting infrastructure, preventing fraud, maintaining security and defending rights in disputes;
- user consent, when required for optional notifications or separate features; consent may be withdrawn for future processing.
Cookies and local storage
The main Hostung website stores the selected language in the browser's local storage. The customer account may use essential cookies for authentication, security and session continuity.
At the time of this revision, the main website does not use advertising cookies. If analytics, advertising or new third-party tools are introduced, this Policy and the consent mechanism must be updated before launch.
Data recipients
Access is limited to recipients that need the data to provide services or comply with the law:
- data-center, network-infrastructure, DNS and domain-registration providers;
- billing, payment, fraud-prevention and technical-support providers;
- professional advisers and auditors subject to confidentiality duties;
- public authorities only where a mandatory, properly issued lawful basis exists.
International transfers
Hostung provides services through distributed infrastructure and suppliers that may operate in different jurisdictions. Any transfer is limited to what is necessary to deliver the ordered service, process payment, maintain security or comply with a mandatory requirement.
When selecting suppliers, Hostung considers reasonable safeguards, contractual confidentiality obligations and applicable law. No specific country of personal-data storage is guaranteed unless expressly agreed for an individual service.
Retention
- account data is retained while the service is used and for a reasonable period after closure to complete settlements and resolve requests;
- contract and payment records are retained as required by mandatory accounting rules, fraud prevention and potential disputes;
- data is deleted or anonymized when its purpose has been fulfilled and no mandatory basis for further retention exists; backups are cleared through the normal overwrite cycle.
Data security
Hostung applies reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls, encrypted connections, system updates, backups and security monitoring.
No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Users must protect passwords and access keys and enable additional safeguards where available.
User rights
Depending on applicable law, a user may request:
- confirmation of processing and a copy of personal data;
- correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- deletion or restriction of processing where lawful grounds exist;
- portability of supplied data in a machine-readable format;
- objection to processing based on legitimate interests and withdrawal of consent;
- human review if a materially significant automated decision is introduced;
- submission of a complaint to the competent data-protection authority.
Requests, children and updates
To exercise your rights, email hostung@hostung.net with the subject 'Personal data' or contact Telegram @HostungSupport. We may request reasonable identity verification and will respond within the period required by applicable law.
Hostung services are not intended for anyone below the age at which they may independently enter into a contract in their country. If we learn that a child's data was obtained without proper authorization, it will be deleted.
This Policy may be updated when services, suppliers or laws change. Material changes are published on this page with a new revision date and, where appropriate, communicated through the customer account.
